about

I think I was about eleven when I convinced my folks to paint a feature wall in my bedroom a deep maroon colour and this was back in the 80s, way before Changing Rooms hit our screens.

Fast forward a decade and I started my career working in the design industry, working freelance on branding for start-ups. I loved it but knew I wanted to work with my hands and with tangible products and so it wasn’t until I found an old wreck of a house in 2007 that I hit my stride. Somewhere where I could use all my creativity, passion for interiors and my practical “can do” attitude to renovate a historic grade II listed Welsh Long House.

Since then I’ve revamped vintage furniture, set up an online homewares & interiors shop, run creative workshops which has now culminated in using all these skills to enter the world of interiors styling, both for commercial and private clients.

More recently I have taken up ceramics again, returning after almost a 20 year hiatus, this time a determination to master the wheel …. not so much master but give it my best shot!! There’s always something to learn, that’s the beauty of it. The biggest lesson I’d say is patience and resilience and I’ve a lot to thank for, in that humble material, clay.

So this is my stake in the ground, I love what I do, and it would be great to hear about your next creative project, be it interiors or ceramics.
